Terms of Service

Privacy Terms of Service Refund Policy

These Terms govern your use of VowCraftAI ("the Service"), operated by Pastor Shawn Miller ("we," "us," "our"). By purchasing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

VowCraftAI is a web-based software tool that uses artificial intelligence to generate wedding-related content (personal vows, ceremony scripts, vow renewals, unity ceremonies, officiant homilies, wedding toasts, processional plans, programs, etc.) based on input you provide. The output is a starting draft intended for officiant editing and review before any final use.

2. License Tiers

Your purchase grants you a non-transferable license to use the Service according to your tier:

  • Base ($17 FE): Personal use. 50 generations per month. Use for weddings you officiate as a pastor of a single church/ministry, or as a friend/family member asked to officiate.
  • Pro ($47 OTO 1 / $27 downsell): Adds unlimited generations, three Pro tools (Full Ceremony Script Builder, Vow Renewal Generator, Unity Ceremony Generator), and (with the $47 version) commercial-use rights for paid officiating.
  • Wedding Toolkit ($67 OTO 2 / $37 downsell): Adds five toolkit tools (Wedding Toast Generator, Officiant Homily Helper, Processional/Recessional Planner, Wedding Program Designer) plus the DFY Ceremony Library.
  • Agency ($197 OTO 3 / $97 downsell): Adds reseller rights, white-label rights (Agency only), and commercial resale capability.

Tiers stack — purchasing OTO 1 and OTO 2 grants you both Pro tier and Toolkit access on the same license.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to:

  • Use the Service for legitimate officiating, ministry, or personal purposes consistent with your license tier
  • Keep your license key confidential
  • Edit and review all output before delivering, distributing, or publishing it
  • Take officiant responsibility for the doctrinal, philosophical, and factual accuracy of anything you deliver based on Service output

You agree NOT to:

  • Share your license key with others
  • Use the Service to generate content for resale unless you hold an Agency License
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or use automated tools to interact with the Service
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits or usage caps
  • Submit input designed to elicit harmful, defamatory, deceptive, or illegal content
  • Use the Service to impersonate another person or misrepresent your authority
  • Use the Service for purposes that violate applicable law

4. AI-Generated Content & Pastoral Responsibility

Important: The output of the Service is generated by AI and is intended as a draft. While the system is theologically and philosophically tuned (no invented scripture, no prosperity gospel, mutual self-giving framing for Eph 5, no imposing Christianity on secular ceremonies, careful handling of interfaith and second-marriage situations), the officiant remains 100% responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving anything they ultimately deliver or distribute. We make no warranty that any specific output is error-free, doctrinally perfect, or appropriate for every situation.

Always read AI output critically. Edit for your voice, your context, and your theological or philosophical tradition before use.

5. Output Ownership

You own the output you generate. We claim no copyright or royalty on vows, ceremony scripts, toasts, homilies, or other content you create using the Service. You may deliver, print, edit, and use them freely in your officiating practice.

You may NOT, however, claim that you authored AI-generated output for awards, academic credit, copyrighted publication, or other contexts where authorship matters legally or ethically — without disclosure of AI involvement.

6. Service Availability

We make reasonable efforts to keep the Service available 24/7 but do NOT guarantee uptime. The Service depends on third-party AI providers (Anthropic) and our hosting provider, which may experience outages, maintenance windows, or technical failures. We are not liable for any consequences of downtime.

7. Modifications to the Service

We may add, remove, or modify features over time. Material changes that reduce functionality you paid for will be communicated to active license holders. Adding new features (e.g., new tools, additional templates) does not require notice.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your license if you:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Initiate a chargeback without first contacting support
  • Engage in abusive use (e.g., automated requests, license sharing, attempts to scrape the Service)
  • Use the Service in a way that creates legal risk to us

You may stop using the Service at any time. Upon refund within 30 days, your license is automatically deactivated.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

  • The Service will meet your requirements
  • The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free
  • The output will be accurate, reliable, or appropriate for your specific situation
  • Any defects will be corrected

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOSS OF REVENUE, LOSS OF DATA, EMOTIONAL DISTRESS, OR OFFICIATING HARM, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or applicable law, or from output you preach or distribute.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

13. Changes to These Terms

If we make material changes to these Terms, we'll update the date at the top of this page and notify active license holders by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
