VowCraftAI is operated by Pastor Shawn Miller ("we," "us," "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the service, how we use it, who we share it with, and what choices you have.

1. What We Collect
Account Information
Your email address — provided when you purchase, used to issue your license key and contact you about your account.
Your license key — automatically generated and tied to your email.
Purchase information — provided to us by our payment processors (WarriorPlus, PayPal, Stripe). We receive your name, email, and product purchased. We do NOT receive your full credit card number — that stays with the payment processor.
Usage Data
Generation log — timestamp, your license key, IP address, the couple's names you entered (for support troubleshooting), and the AI token count for the request.
Form input — the details you enter (the couple's love story, family details, ceremony preferences, etc.) are sent to our AI provider to generate output. This data is NOT stored on our servers — it is transmitted, processed, and discarded.
Browser Storage
Local Storage — your license key is saved in your browser's localStorage so you don't have to re-enter it. We do NOT use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics cookies.
2. How We Use Your Information
To provide the service (issue licenses, generate ceremony content)
To prevent abuse (rate limiting, identifying license sharing)
To respond to support requests
To send you information about updates, future products, or your account (you can opt out anytime)
To comply with legal obligations
We do NOT sell your information, share it with advertisers, or use it for marketing to third parties.
3. Who We Share With
Limited and only as necessary to operate the service:
Anthropic, PBC — our AI provider. The text you enter into the form is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate ceremony content. Anthropic processes the request and returns the output. Anthropic's privacy policy: anthropic.com/legal/privacy
WarriorPlus — our marketplace and primary payment processor.
PayPal / Stripe — payment processors. Your card data goes directly to them, not to us.
Hosting provider — our web host stores the license database and serves the application. They are bound by their own privacy and security policies.
Legal requests — if compelled by valid legal process.
4. Sensitive Information You Enter
Important: The forms in this tool ask for personal details about couples and their families. We strongly recommend you do NOT enter information that would identify a specific person who has not consented to AI processing of their data. Use first names only, generic family details, or fictional names when testing. The information IS sent to a third-party AI provider (Anthropic) for processing.
The form data is transmitted to Anthropic's servers for ceremony content generation. Anthropic's terms state they do not retain user inputs for training. However, the data does briefly pass through their systems. By using the tool, you acknowledge this.
5. Data Retention
License records — retained for as long as your account is active, plus 7 years for tax/accounting purposes.
Generation logs — retained for 90 days for support and abuse prevention, then deleted.
Form input data — NOT retained on our servers. Discarded after AI processing.
Email communication — retained as long as needed for the conversation.
6. Your Rights
Regardless of where you live, we honor these requests:
Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
Correction — request that we fix inaccurate data.
Deletion — request that we delete your account and associated data.
Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format.
Objection — object to specific uses of your data.
Opt-out — unsubscribe from marketing emails (you can still receive transactional emails about your account).
For California residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information is collected, to delete it, and to opt out of any sale (we do not sell personal information).
For European residents (GDPR): You have all the above rights. Our legal basis for processing is contractual necessity (to provide the service you purchased) and legitimate interest (to prevent abuse).
7. Security
We use HTTPS for all connections. License keys and email data are stored on encrypted servers. We do not store your payment card information. That said, no online service is 100% secure — if you suspect a breach, contact us immediately.
8. Children's Privacy
This service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page and notify active license holders by email. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
